Comments: Though Chris has a 1987 Topps card, he didn't actually throw a single pitch for the Reds or any other team in '87. He was actually released by the Reds in November of 1986. How he got a card in this set is beyond me. These days, Chris is in the booth as a Reds TV broadcasters, teamed up with George Grande and Jeff Brantley. I really do like Chris on TV and have learned a lot about pitching from him just from tuning in a few nights a week. He always has great things to add to the commentary from the player's perspective. He also has one hell of a mustache - totally missing in the photo on this card.
