Who: Designated Hitter Don Baylor
Team: Boston Red Sox
Card: 1987 Topps
Acquired: TTM 3/3 8/12/2009 (23 days)
Comments: Speaking of Red Sox... Current Rockies hitting coach Don Baylor kindly signed some cards for me via the mail. This of course, is his 1987 Topps card. Mr. Baylor spent most of the '87 season with the Sox, following a World Series appearance with them in '86. He was traded to the Twins towards the end of the '87 season and won a World Series with Minnesota. The following season he help slug the Oakland Athletics to an appearance in the World Series as well. He's the only player to appear in three straight World Series with three different teams. Quite a stroke of luck, eh?
