C Strong and I headed to Shake-It this morning for National Record Store Day. We decided to get there early - at 10am when Shake-It opens - and there were already a good handful of people in there digging through all the record bins. We were really looking forward to going and scoring some exclusive stuff today, but it was even better than we imagined. Here are my pick-ups:
My Morning Jacket - CelebraciĆ³n De La Ciudad Natal 2x 10"
Yeah Yeah Yeahs - It's Blitz! 12"
Flight of the Conchords - Pencils in the Wind 7"
Flaming Lips/Black Keys - Borderline 7"
MC5 - Kick Out the Jams 7"
Dunny - 5th Series
Simpsons Kid Robot (for G)
Kid Robot Zipper Pulls x2
FREEBIES!
Franz Ferdinand - Limited Edition 12" (a bunch of remixes)
Record Store Day Sampler- 12"
Samuel L. Jackson & Bernie Mac - The Real Deal 7"
Fat Possum Records - Sampler 7" (Red vinyl!)
Great Northern - House 7" (hand numbered out of 1000)
Death Row Records - CD Sampler
I felt like we picked up a lot of stuff... and there was a ton more that we didn't get, free or otherwise.
Labels: National Record Store Day, Shopping, Vinyl
