Reapolstered Eames Lounge set

Who in the hell would do this to an Eames Lounger? Hopefully, the leather was beyond repair and they replaced it to match the curtains in the room. Nope, still unacceptable. I'll have to check it out and see if it's a authentic lounge... In passing on my way to work this morning, it looked real - but I need a second look.

DWR Warehouse Sale

Eames Lounge & Ottoman
It's back! I've seen a few billboards around downtown this weekend touting the sale on November 2 & 3. I'm sure information will be posted soon on www.dwr.com and directly right here.

DWR sale!

G and I got to another sale today. TONS of great stuff - no a big crowd. At least not by past sale standards. I saw at least 8 Emes lounge chairs there. If I had the means... I would have picked one up.

The only thing we picked up was a Tribo Stool. It's a nice little piece and we got a decent price on it. It ended up being the only thing we picked up at the sale, making this the lightest spending sale we have ever been too. We did end up ordering this Angela Adams rug from Mica during their Winter Sale, so we still got our condo upgrading fix this weekend.

Off the the Auto Show...

Oh and before I go... check out the CiN Weekly wrecking crew.

DWR Sale!

Eames Plywood Lounge Chair
Whoa! Another DWR warehouse sale is this weekend. I just happened to check the DWR website tonight to see an announcement about it. Usually, they send out an email well in advance and even runs ads in the local paper. G and I will probably make it down to check things out. This time though, we don't have any particular piece that we're looking for. At the last sale they had (in November) we snagged a TV stand and a few other items. I guess it's wide open for us this time. It's going to be damn cold waiting in line!

Okay, I guess there are a few things I would love to snag if they're at the sale and priced right:

1) badass wall clock
2) Cherner Side Chair
3) Min Media Castors for our media stand
4) A rug
5) More FLOR tiles
6) In my dreams
7) Eames Plywood Lounge Chair

Sweet deals

Min Media Stand
G and I got some pretty sweet deals on the second day of the DWR warehouse sale. Picked up these items at great discounts:

Min Media Stand - 65" (photo above)
Taburet M Stacking Stool - Cherry
• Ladoro shelving systems, kinda like Cubits
Multipot in white
• Some FLOR tiles for the office

It was very hard to do, but we put one of these bad boys back. We had it ordered and ready to go, but we decided the flaws on it where not something we wanted to deal with. We'll probably get another one at some other sale, if they are ever there again.

On a completely different note... check out the photos from the CiN Weekly Green Party that Gina put up. Craziness.

Design nerds

Folks lining up outside the DWR warehouse for the sale. The line ended up being twice this long when the doors finally opened.

After the sale had been going for a while, the power went out in the building. So, emergency lights came on and everyone was kinda like "what the hell?" The lights came back on slowly, but since the power went out, DWR's network went down and they were not able to process credit cards for quite a while. Since we needed to leave and we didn't have anything that was a classic or one-of-a-kind, we ditched our order and left. We think that stuff will be there tomorrow anyways. We found a media stand that I had been looking at for a while and we may get that tomorrow - hopefully on a bigger discount than today. I'll keep you posted.
